MCA 2025/2026 CERTIFICATION & TRAINING CLASSES -
NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION

The MCA has opened registration for the 2025/2026 Certification & Training season. MCA offers a variety of certification and training courses to meet the needs of the concrete industry.

The MCA currently offers the following certifications & training classes:

CERTIFICATION

Level I Concrete Field Testing Technician (New &  Recert)

Level II Advanced Concrete Technician (New & Recert)

ACI Concrete Strength Testing

ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level I

MCA Decorative Concrete

ACI Flatwork Finisher
ACI Self Consolidating Concrete (SCC) Testing Technician

NEW** MCA Exterior Concrete Finisher Certification

NEW** ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician (Coming Soon)

Contractor Training - Concrete 101

Contractor Training - Concrete 201

For classes with multiple sessions, classes are open through January and we will open more class dates as the courses fill up.

PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE UPDATED OUR REFUND, CANCELLATION, AND TBD POLICIES.

Switching Class Policy:

If you need to switch to a different class date, please contact our office at (517) 347-7720. NOTE: there will be a $50 fee for each person that you switch that must be paid prior to making the switch. Substitutions are allowed.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

REFUND: Only Available prior to shipping class materials (3 weeks prior to the start of class.) There will be a $250 processing fee for cancellations.

NO REFUND: Once class materials have been shipped, there will be no refund. Substitutions are allowed.

TBD POLICY:

IF YOUR COMPANY IS RESERVING SEATS FOR A TBD STUDENT, THE NAMES OF THE STUDENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE MCA NO LATER THAN 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CLASS. IF NAMES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE BOOKS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SHIPPED TO THE INDIVIDUAL WHO REGISTERED THE TBD FOR THE CLASS. CANCELLATION POLICY APPLIES TO TBD'S.

GOING PRO TALENT FUND APPLICATION NOW OPEN - DEADLINE OCTOBER 30, 2025

What’s new: Michigan employers can now apply for the Going PRO Talent Fund — a state grant program that helps businesses upskill and train current or new employees. 

Why it matters: The MI Chamber-backed program is one of Michigan’s strongest workforce-readiness tools. But with reduced state funding, this year’s grants are in high demand and will be quite competitive.

• Two funding rounds are planned — the first is open now, the next in 2026.

Key dates: The first application window opened Oct. 14 and closes at 5 p.m. EDT Thursday, Oct. 30.

How it works: The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) reimburses employers — through local Michigan Works! Agencies across the state — between $2,000 and $3,500 per employee (based on employment type) for training that meets a demonstrated business need and leads to an industry-recognized credential.
